As part of the "Wreaths Across America" program, Governor Mead and Brigadier General Kathy Wright of the Wyoming Army National Guard laid a remembrance wreath in the Capitol rotunda Monday afternoon.
The wreath is in honor of veterans and their families during the holidays.

They Salvation Army of Cheyenne is in need of donations. The combination of a late Thanksgiving and extreme cold have driven donations down in the Cheyenne area by 25 percent this year.
The Cheyenne Salvation Army estimates its donations could be down by as much as $16,000.

The roundabout at Pershing Blvd., Converse Ave., and 19th Street is finally open to all traffic.
Early Friday afternoon, the barricades were taken down on the south side of the roundabout, allowing traffic headed northbound on Converse Avenue to enter.
The opening comes a week after the city had hoped to completely open the roundabout, but bad weather delayed that opening. More>>

City officials had planned for the roundabout at Pershing Boulevard, Converse Avenue and 19th Street to be open by the end of last week, but recent bad weather has put a delay on the opening.
The city has opened up the roundabout entrance and exit at 19th Street as well as the exit heading south on Converse Avenue.
The only section that remains closed is the entrance into the roundabout on the south side of Converse.
Unfortunately for some Cheyenne workers they were outside working in the sub-zero wind chill Wednesday.
