The $3.2 billion state budget proposal was introduced Tuesday in both the Wyoming House and Senate.

The budget bill went through it's first reading on Tuesday and will finish up first reading Wednesday.

In a popularity contest, Wyoming would rank 17th among it's fellow states.

The owners of the two pit bulls suspected of killing a miniature pony last Saturday, says their dogs didn't do it and the pony may have died from exposure to the cold.

The fate of two pit bulls that killed a pony over the weekend, could be in the hands of the court. The dogs, both female, are being held at the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.

A new report from the national transportation research group, TRIP, says Wyoming is in need of significant funding to make needed improvements to it's roads and bridges.

In order to make needed improvements to Wyoming's roads and bridges, the state would need to overcome a funding shortfall of $332 million per year and $3.3 billion over the next decade.

The owners of the dogs were notified that the animal shelter had the pit bulls, but did not come forward and claim them within 48 hours.

By law the dogs have now become property of the animal shelter.

President Barack Obama is calling on Congress to create an $8 billion fund to help connect community college students with businesses looking to hire workers for high-growth industries.

Senators and House Representatives had opinions on a lot of topics, but redistricting and the budget were two of the most widely discussed.
