Mariah joined the KGWN news team in February of 2016 and is more than excited to start her career as a reporter in her hometown.
She realized that she had a passion for broadcast journalism early in life when she had the chance to report the school news at McCormick Jr. High and Central High School. After high school, she attended the University of Wyoming with a focus in communication and later transferred to Arizona State’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Mariah is proud she can call herself an Arizona Sun Devil and a Wyoming Cowboy.
In Phoenix, Mariah had the chance to report for Cronkite News on PBS and practice documentary production and radio. She also interned as a videographer at the Phoenix Convention Center where she had the opportunity to practice public relations in city meetings as well as help promote the city for Super Bowl XLIX with news station Phoenix 11.
After graduating, Mariah is not only happy to be home with her family and friends, but she is also excited to start her career in the place she calls home.
