Sheridan Police make arrest in homicide

Sheridan, Wyo. - The Sheridan Police Department is in the midst of investigating a homicide.

According to a police press release, it happened late Wednesday night (1/10/18) at 11:13 p.m. at 1410 North Main Street.

Officers responded to the apartment building after receiving a report of an alleged homicide at that address. Once there, a man reported that a friend, Christopher Macloughlin Labuy, 33, knocked on his apartment door and stated he had shot a man.

Officers found the victim and determined he had died from a gunshot wound.

Detectives determined that probable cause existed to arrest Labuy for Murder in the First Degree. He was then placed in the Sheridan County Jail.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
