CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) - 45 local musicians are coming together for a CD release. Any Way the Wind Blows is being released this weekend, August 18th.

The CD came together through Councilman Richard as part of his year of Charitree. Arts Cheyenne and Ernie November also helped with the production. The CD features music from 45 artists. Josh Gonzales is one of the musicians on the CD. He says, whenever Richard called he immediately was on board. "You're helping the future of the city. If you can do anything for the kids, I don't see why you would need to think twice."

The CDs are going on sale for $15. The music on the album is all-original music written and performed by Cheyenne residents. The genres vary.

The money raised is going to help the Cheyenne Youth Symphony. The mission of the Cheyenne Youth Symphony is to provide an opportunity for string students in grades five through nine to advance their technical and musical abilities through involvement in the group. Students are exposed to a variety of musical styles, which will provide teaching tools to help each student to improve their playing ability.

The Youth Symphony and some of the Any Way The Wind Blows musicians will be featured on stage during the Cheyenne Arts Festival on Sunday, August 20 from 12-5 pm.

The CDs are on sale this weekend at Cheyenne Arts Festival. It takes place at the Cheyenne Depot. On Monday if there are any CDs left, they will be sold at Ernie November in downtown Cheyenne.
