A resolution that is supposed to unify Cheyenne

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) - Cheyenne City Council met this evening. Resolution 21 has four sponsors, one of whom is Rocky Case.

If this resolution passes out of the public service committee next Tuesday, then two weeks from today, it will go before the full council for final approval.

Resolution 21 joins Cheyenne to a community wide visioning and planning initiative. There are a lot of economic development players in the City of Cheyenne... such as the DDA, Leads, and the City of Commerce.

There are several players coming to the table...along with employer sources like Laramie County Community College. They would provide input....all with the purpose of unifying Cheyenne and leading to better decisions.

Rocky Case says, "I think it goes above, far, and beyond some of the planning initiatives we’ve done in the past, that have been in essence based on opinion."

Rocky believes with Resolution 21, this group would create data sets telling what our work force is, where our job talent is, and what can effectively be brought in.
