CHEYENNE, Wyo. (RELEASE) - The Blue Federal Credit Union Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit for the Credit Union, hosted its 16th Annual Golf Tournament on Friday, August 11 to benefit the United Way of Laramie County. Over the past 15 years, Blue has given over $206,000 through the tournament to the United Way which serves the individuals and families in Laramie County through various education programming and funding.

“For 15 years, we have been supporting the United Way of Laramie County through this tournament,” said Vice President of Marketing, Michele Bolkovatz. “It’s the largest fundraising event that we host for them and we couldn’t be prouder to partner and benefit such an impactful organization.”

The Tournament was hosted at The Warren Golf Course on F.E. Warren AFB.

United Way of Laramie County has also expressed their gratitude and excitement for this year’s tournament. “We love the folks at Blue,” said Amber Still, Marketing/Communications Specialist at United Way of Laramie County. “Their support to our community is top notch and we are so appreciative for coordinating this wonderful event each year to support our organization. They are true role models for Laramie County.”

The golf tournament comes on the heels of a year full of giveback from the Credit Union. While this is a stand along golf tournament that is hosted by Blue, the Credit Union and its employee volunteers have sponsored and volunteered at several benefit tournaments throughout the summer. “We couldn’t do what we do without our “army of Do Gooders,” said Bolkovatz. “Blue dedicates thousands of dollars to community events each year, but without our employees helping out, we wouldn’t have near the impact.”

The Blue Foundation was founded to help the Credit Union and its members fulfill their “Do Good” mission. The non-profit champions, funds and celebrates other non-profit causes in the several communities Blue serves. For more information, please visit
