Cheyenne, Wyo. - 100 women gathered today at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center to focus on heart health and prevention methods.
At Saturday's 9th annual Women's Heart Health Event, CRMC brought in several guest speakers to talk to women about how they can reduce risk of heart disease, and also how to maintain a healthy heart.
Heart disease is responsible for one in every four deaths for women in the U.S. And medical personnel at Cheyenne Regional say it is important to make a routine visit to your health care provider to avoid over-looking any possible symptoms.
They also add that the main difference between men and women is not always clear, and women can experience symptoms such as nausea and back pain.
This years event was sold out. But next years event is already in the works. And Cheyenne Regional is looking for a possible bigger venue for next year.
