Held at the Fire Training Facility on 7222 Commerce Circle, there will be activities to learn about smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire prevention and safety.

Cheyenne Fire & Rescue’s Fire Safety Open House runs from 11am - 3pm on Sunday, October 15.

Fire Prevention Week runs October 8-14 and commemorates the Great Chicago Fire in 1871 that lasted two days. Forty years after the Great Chicago Fire, the Fire Marshall's Association of North America and the National Fire Protection Association sponsored the first National Fire Prevention day as a way of keep the public informed about fire safety.
