CHEYENNE, Wyo Christmas House has been the annual fund-raising project of GFWC Women’s Civic League of Cheyenne (WCLC) for the last 49 years.

WCLC is a non-profit organization, and Christmas House proceeds benefit local organizations and projects in Laramie County, Wyoming. There are few projects in the community that have not benefited from the hard work, dedication and generosity of the members of GFWC Women's Civic League of Cheyenne.

Scholarships were provided to graduating high school seniors in Laramie County School Districts #1 and #2, and to two students attending Laramie County Community College.

Each year the majority of the money raised through Christmas House is distributed through the club’s Community Grant Committee process.

Proceeds from the 2015 Christmas House were awarded to: Meals on Wheels, Friday Food Bag, Cheyenne Little Theater, City of Cheyenne Parks and Recreation, Community Partnership, Family Promise of Cheyenne, Youth Alternatives totaling $36,600.

Additionally, $8500 in scholarships were awarded to 10 Laramie County high school seniors, one LCCC student and a contribution made to the LCCC Foundation Matching Scholarship fund.

This year the Christmas house will be held downtown at Ross and Tina Smiths' house on 2614 Capitol Ave Cheyenne, WY. Friday December 1st from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday December 2nd from 9:00am to 3:00 pm. $6 for adults, kids 6 and under are free.
