Cheyenne, Wyo. - A Colorado Springs woman has been arrested after leading officers on a high-speed chase.

According to Wyoming Highway Patrol, the pursuit started at milepost 268 on Interstate 25 on January 25th. Around 12:23 p.m., a trooper was parked in the median observing traffic when he noticed a northbound Volkswagen speeding 96 mph in a posted 80 mph zone.

The Trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, but it continued north on Interstate 25 until reaching the Interstate 90 junction. The driver then proceeded eastbound on I-90 at speeds well over 100 mph.

WHP says at milepost 106 on I-90, troopers and Campbell County Deputies successfully deployed tire deflation devices to stop the car. The driver of the Volkswagen, Mary Sedlacek, 76, was taken into custody without incident.

Sedlacek has been charged with reckless driving and eluding a police officer and booked into the Johnson County Detention Facility.
