Councilman's snow removal group not affiliated with City of Cheyenne

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (KGWN) - With winter months approaching and snow on the way, we recently aired stories about an ordinance on snow shoveling. You have 24 hours after the snow stops to shovel your sidewalks.

We mentioned the Facebook group created by Councilman Richard Johnson, Snow removal for those who are unable not unwilling (Cheyenne). It is a group where you can connect with others to help with snow removal if you aren't able to shovel your own sidewalks. If you’re in need of help or would like to help, it’s important to note that this group is not affiliated with the City of Cheyenne. The City does not have services to shovel sidewalks, so it is the residents responsibility to shovel their own sidewalks or find a service to do so.

To take part in Johnson’s group, just head to the Facebook page, put your name in the comments with hours available and contact info. Remember if you use this service that you do so at your own risk. Not everyone that adds their name does so for free of charge. If the person requests payment it is up to you to negotiate.
