Cheyenne, Wyo. - A deadly wreck has claimed the life of a Wyoming man.

It happened Monday night (1/22/18), according to the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office. At 5:30pm, deputies responded to calls of a two-vehicle crash in the 6500 block of Ridge Road in Cheyenne.

Once there, they learned a vehicle being driven by a 17-year-old female was heading north bound on Ridge road when she lost control and slid sideways into oncoming traffic. The vehicle was then hit by another car on the passenger side.

Both the driver of the original car that slid, and her passenger, Dakota Wright, 19, had to be extricated and were transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment. While at CRMC, Wright died. Cassidy sustained minor injuries from the deployment of her vehicle’s airbag.

LCSO says poor weather conditions may have contributed to crash.
