CHEYENNE, Wyo.- Starting December 1, Cheyenne's Downtown Development Authority says they hope to bring back the synthetic ice rink to the Depot Plaza.

The DDA's Desiree Brothe says although synthetic ice isn't always the most ideal, it's something they have heard a lot of positive feedback on to bring it back during the holidays. Brothe says the rink will be at the Plaza longer from December 1 to January 1 and will cater more to what people wanted to see.

Not only will the company be different with improved synthetic technology, but the DDA plans to include vendors and more ambience this year. Brothe said, "I have quite a bit of confidence in this company." She added, "We do know that the Toronto Maple Leafs actually have practiced on this particular type of rink."

The rink will once again be free for people to enjoy, but the DDA says they will be taking sponsors as well as donations to help offset the cost.
