Cheyenne, Wyo. - *UPDATE*
As of 3:30pm, WYDOT says I-25 is now estimated to be opened by 5:30pm.

High winds are causing trouble Monday, along Wyoming and Colorado roads.

As of 2pm, I-25 is closed from Cheyenne to Wellington, Colo. and US 85 is closed in part from Cheyenne to the Colorado state line. There's no word yet on when the road will reopen.

CBS Newschannel 5 saw about a dozen semi-trucks that had been knocked over due to high winds, along both roads. There no word yet on the condition of the drivers.

The National Weather Service says strong northwesterly winds will continue moving across southeast Wyoming and the southern Panhandle through 3 PM. The winds will diminish later this afternoon. Motorists, especially those in light and/or high profile vehicles, are advised to be prepared for these strong wind gusts and delay travel if necessary.

Laramie County fire District #1 firefighters say they have responded to 12 calls (1 EMS call, 1 structure fire, 1 outside fire, and 9 blown over semis/accidents with one needing extrication) in 3 hours.
