Homicide suspect in custody

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (RELEASE)- At approximately 5pm Saturday, Dec 2, 2017 Armando Ramirez-Serna was arrested in Kimball, NE.

On a tip from the public the Sheriff’s Department was told Serna maybe in Kimball, NE. With the assistance of the Kimball Police Department, Kimball County Sheriff’s Department and the Nebraska State Patrol, Serna was arrested at the 1st Interstate Inn on I-80 and Hwy 71 in Kimball.

Serna was taken into custody on a warrant issued from the Laramie County District Attorney’s Office. Serna is currently being held at the Kimball County Sheriff’s Department awaiting extradition back to Wyoming.

Also around 2pm Saturday, December 2nd The Sheriff’s Department along with US Marshals arrested Austin Aranda in the 500 bulk of Patton Ave for accessory after the fact to first degree murder.

Aranda took Serna to Glenrock, WY after the homicide last Sunday and recently supplied Serna with a cell phone.

Initial charges against Ramirez-Serna are first degree murder and first degree arson.

Raquel Rodriguez, girlfriend of Armando, was also taken into custody on related charges.
