CHEYENNE, Wyo --- The Laramie County Library will be opening later on Monday the 21st for the Eclipse. They are having a block party/Eclipse viewing party. The library will open at 2 after the eclipse, however the café and bathroom will be open, and you can drop off books, you just can't rent them until they open again.
At the block party there will be three to four different food trucks to get lunch from, entertainment, face painting and crafts. They will also have limited quantities of glasses for free, it is first come first serve.
When it comes to eclipse viewing glasses you want to make sure you get the right ones. There are many counterfeit glasses going around right now, especially if you order them online. How to tell if you have the right glasses is, they will either have an ISO stamp on the side or the ISO number of 12312-2, some even have both. To test them out you can hold them to an LED light, or put them on and look in the sky if you can only see the sun you will be good, and if you can't see the LED light through the lenses they are real.
The Laramie County Library is sold out of glasses, but there are some places in Cheyenne you can get them, the Lions Club is selling them as a fundraiser, underwood gifts and flowers, Safe way has them for 2 for $3 or $1.99 each,16th st. Mercantile, Natural Grocers, and Sierra Trading Post. The Cheyenne Eye Clinic is sold out.
