Cheyenne, Wyo. (KGWN)- Cheyenne's Life Choice Pregnancy Care Center is almost ready to start the engine of their new mobile clinic.
Their mission is to reach women in Cheyenne and surrounding areas with compassion and hope during what can be a moment of need.
The van is equipped with ultrasounds, counseling space, a registered nurse, and even massage seats.
Judi Ogle, from Lifechoice, said "we give them hope. We give them help. We let them know there's someone here that cares about them."
Medical personnel at Lifechoice Pregnancy Center wants to take away the stress of a long drive for those who live outside of Cheyenne. As well as give an option to women working or going to school full-time. But most importantly, they say they want to provide a sense of security.
"All of our young women and men are very important, and this community has really showed how they care about the young people. That's our next generation," said Gloria Davies, director of Lifechoice.
Although this investment costs of hundreds of thousands of dollars, they say the investment was never about money, but rather a chance for the community to care about it's young people.
After they raise enough money for the remaining ultrasound equipment, the van will be on the road in southeast Wyoming.
