Cheyenne, Wyo. - On Saturday night (6/18/16), KGWN Newschannel 5 took part in the 2016 Wyoming Association of Broadcasters Annual Convention.

The team ended up taking home six awards, including:

1st Place: Sports-Anchor/Reporter (Kevin Keane)
1st Place: Commercial Campaign-Clure Amish Galley
1st Place: Public Service Campaign-Boys and Girls Club of Cheyenne
1st Place: Best Use of Digital Media
2nd Place: Station Promo
1st Place: Breaking News (Tiffany Logan and News Team)

Of course, the night was capped off with the best moment for KGWN as former anchor Bob Geha was inducted into the WAB Hall of Fame. Geha, who retired from Newschannel 5 about a year and a half ago, says this is an unexpected honor.

“It’s really cool; an honor and a privilege to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.” Geha says, “I never had any inkling, I never sought it, I never realized, what an honor it really is.

Geha signed off after 25 years behind the anchor desk, back in October of 2014.
