CHEYENNE, Wy.(KGWN) Nearly 14,000 scooter/hoverboards are being recalled, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The commission says 7 different brands of the boards are included in the recall because they contain the same lithium-ion battery pack that can overheat causing smoking, fires and possible explosions.
So far there have been four reports fires but no injuries have been reported.
The consumer product safety commission says you should stop using them immediately and contact the company for return instructions for a refund.
The brands included in the recall are: Smart Balance Wheel by Salvage World, Drone Nerds, Go Wheels by Four Star Imports, iHoverspeed by Simplified Wireless, iLive by Digital Products, Tech Drift, and Sonic Smart Wheels by Dollar Mania.
