CHEYENNE, Wyo.- Both Cheyenne Mayor Marian Orr and City Councilman Richard Johnson are looking forward to meeting with the community during their scheduled meeting, Pies and Politics.
It's an opportunity to gather with the mayor and council members from ward three as well as voice opinions and concerns in Cheyenne.
It's not just an opportunity to gather, but Johnson said, "Not only can you come up and ask us any questions you may have regarding things going on in ward three... we're going to have 6th Penny information as well." Johnson said it's a chance to gather with the Cheyenne people in a way that makes everyone feel "more human" and more approachable.
Mayor Orr also agreed with Johnson. She said ward three came up with the great format where people could really just talk with one another. She said, "It's not a presentation format. It's just an opportunity to mix and mingle and answer questions."
Mayor Orr and City Councilman Johnson said they expect to hear everything from the 6th Penny ballot projects to pot holes on our roads. The topics that are brought up are completely dependent on what the public wants to address.
Pies and Politics will take place Thursday, April 20 at 5:30-7:30pm at the Pie Lady on East Lincolnway.
The meeting is open to the public. For more information, call the City Council Office at 637-6357 or check out the full interview.
