Cheyenne, Wyo. - The Laramie County Clerk's Office gave the public a chance to test the voting machines Thursday.

The test is required by law to make sure the voting equipment is performing correctly.
"We want to make sure that a voters votes are accurately recorded," Debra Lee Laramie County Clerk said. "After the testing is complete, we then seal the machines with a uniquely number tamper evidence seal, and those seals are not opened until tomorrow morning at 8:30."
Important voting dates:
July 6 - Early voting begins
August 20 - Early voting ends
August 21 - Primary Election Day
September 21 - General election early voting begins
November 6 - General Election Day
