CHEYENNE, Wyo.- Assistant Director of Cheyenne Botanic Gardens, Tina Worthman, discusses Public Gardens Day happening Friday, May 12.
Worthman says it's an annual celebration that helps raise awareness of our important role in promoting environmental stewardship, plant water conservation, green spaces and education in communities nationwide. You can even stop by the Paul Smith Children's Village to receive free pumpkin seeds.
In addition, Worthman says the Children's Village will host their Plant Pandemonium on Saturday, May 20th. She says they have thousands of flowers to plant to help get the public involved and return the spring-feel back to the public center.
For Mother's Day, Worthman says there's even an opportunity for some creative little ones who want to give their mom something special. From May 9-May 11 at 4pm, kids can take part in a free program called Mom Rocks.
