UPDATE: Deadly crash closes down Lincolnway at Converse

Cheyenne, Wyo. - UPDATE 12/13 10:30 am:
Cheyenne Police have confirmed that Aiden Mullinax, 4, was killed in Tuesday night's crash on E. Lincolnway.

He and his mother were crossing at Lincolnway and Converse before 5:30pm when a Chevy Silverado driven by Christopher Wetherholt made a left turn and hit them.
Ashley Nowlin, 31, was injured and taken to CRMC, but her son, Aiden died on scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

No citations have yet been issued in this case. This case remains under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department

UPDATE as of 12/12 9:30 pm:
Cheyenne Police confirm a 4 year old child was killed in an accident this evening. The mother remains at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and her injuries are unknown at this time. However, we do know police talked with her about the child.

The intersection was blocked off for about 2 hours while crews continued the investigation and re-opened to traffic around 7:45pm.

The crash reconstructionist is still completing his investigation right now. Cheyenne Police say further details of the accident could be ready as soon as Wednesday morning. We will release those updates as they come in.

Original: Cheyenne Police blocked off a section of road along E. Lincolnway and Converse after a deadly crash. Cheyenne Police Department confirmed that it took the life of a four-year-old boy.

It happened after 5:30pm Tuesday night.

There’s no word yet on exactly what happened since this is an ongoing investigation, but officers describe it as “serious” and say it involved a vehicle and two pedestrians, a mother and her child. The mother was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
