Sierra Trading Post holds winter gear drive

Cheyenne, Wyo. - Sierra Trading Post in Cheyenne is holding a drive to collect cold weather gear for those in need this winter.

The drive coincides with National Make a Difference Day on Saturday, Oct. 22.

“Most of our stores are in colder climates,” says Sara Cagle, strategic partnership specialist for Sierra Trading Post. “Serving as a collection point for gear and apparel is a way for us to help vulnerable people in our communities.”

Here’s a list of the most common items needed:
-sleeping bags
-tents
-tarps
-thermal base layers
-coats
-snow pants
-hand/foot warmers
-winter boots
-tarps
-blankets and bedding

Donations will be provided to COMEA Shelter, a non-profit serving the homeless population. As a bonus, the first five people who donate in-store each day will receive a free promotional item.
