UINTA COUNTY, Wyo. – A truck driver has been injured in an I80 wreck that killed or injured several cattle.
It happened Thursday night at milepost 46, near Lyman. The road was closed off for a number of hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
Uinta County Fire and Ambulance says the crash happened after the cattle hauler left the roadway crashing on to its side and catching on fire. The truck was hauling 45 cows, nearly half of which were killed.
The driver was transported to Evanston Regional Hospital with unknown injuries. The Wyoming Highway Patrol in investigating.
