Tuesday edition: College National Finals Rodeo highlights

Your local riders competed at the College National Finals Rodeo on Tuesday, setting the bar high and recording times that could put them in short go contention.

After recording a no time on Monday in the Tie Down Roping competition, LCCC freshman Austin Hurlburt recorded a time of 15.3 seconds.

In his go-around for Steer Wrestling on Tuesday, Hurlburt locked his calf in 5.8 seconds. He was unable to lock down his calf on Monday.

East graduate Brody Cress, who is competing for Tarlet, put up a score of 73 on Saddle Bronc.

Wyoming's Justene Hirsig and Denton Shaw put down a time of 6.7 in the Team Roping competition after a no score on Monday.
