Cheyenne, Wyo. - Volunteers are needed for this year’s Cheyenne Christmas Parade.
The 27th annual event is happening in downtown on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, on November 25th at 5:30 p.m. “Candyland Christmas" is this year's theme.
As always, this is a large community production so the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce could use your help. If you’d like to volunteer, help is needed in hanging up signage in advance of the parade, handling barricades to mark the parade route, and volunteers who are available to help as as needed.
Businesses and organizations are welcome to volunteer at corners of the parade route and pass out hot chocolate, etc. Simply sign-up and inform the Cheyenne Christmas Parade Committee of that request.
This annual tradition kicks off at 17th Street and Carey Avenue and marches north on Carey to 24th Street, then turns right to Capitol Avenue. From Capitol Avenue, the parade continues down to 16th street and concludes on Pioneer Avenue with Santa continuing on to the Depot Plaza for the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The first float of the Christmas Parade is Toys for Tots so please bring unwrapped toys to the parade.
