VTech is recalling popular baby toys

CHEYENNE, Wyo - Lights and Lullabies travel mobiles and the Shake and Sing Elephant rattles are both being recalled by VTech toys.

The Lights and Lullabies travel mobiles come in two colors pink and blue, however the pink mobile was sold exclusively on amazon. The clamp attaching the mobile to the crib rail can break causing the mobile to fall, posing an injury hazard to an infant in the crib. The model numbers are printed on the battery compartment door for blue the model number is 80-50300 and for pink the number is 80-503050.

VTech is offering a full refund or to replace the mobile. About 37,000 were sold in the US, to receive the refund or replacement you can go to the store you purchased the toy at with the recall number of 18-084.

The Shake and Sing Elephant rattle, which doubles as a teething ring, is being recalled immediately due to a choking hazard for young children.

VTech says the ears on the elephant rattle can break off, creating a choking hazard to young children. The Shake and Sing elephant rattle with the model number 80-184800, has a purple elephant with yellow and blue ears at one end and a black and white plastic teething ring at the other end. VTech is stamped on the elephant, the rattle sings when a button is switched on.

About 280,000 units were sold: VTech is offering a refund or credit for a replacement product with the recall number 18-083.

Both the Shake and Sing Rattle and Lights and Lullabies travel mobiles were sold at Walmart or online. You can contact Vtech at 1800-521-2010 from 7 am -6 pm Monday through Friday, or online at vtechkids.com.
