Cheyenne, Wyo. - A roadway in Cheyenne is closed after a semi-Trailer collides with the underside of Interstate 80.

It happened on September 8 at approximately 1:15 p.m. when a semi-truck and trailer hauling a crane was southbound on Waltersheid driving under Interstate 80. Cheyenne police say the crane failed to fit under the interstate striking the southernmost support truss of eastbound Interstate 80.

There are no injuries reported and the incident us under investigation. The driver of the semi, Michael Buckridge, a 40 year old male from Henry, NE, was cited for caerless driving.

WYDOT bridge inspectors will be inspecting the bridge next week.
