CHEYENNE, Wyo. UPDATE: Police say the woman was treated and released.
A woman has been hospitalized after an alleged hit and run in a Cheyenne neighborhood. It happened around 2:30 PM Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of 10th Street and Fremont. Police say a young woman was walking in the street, but was then knocked over, possibly when a vehicle passed by her.
When police arrived, they found her conscious, and an ambulance soon arrived on scene along with Cheyenne Fire and Rescue. The woman was then transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for medical treatment and evaluation. Her condition remains unknown at this time.
Cheyenne Police told CBS NewsChannel 5 that, at first, it looked to be a hit and run. However, after further investigation, police cannot confirm that the woman was actually hit by any vehicle.
