Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Catherine F. Case 57 and James R. Cannon 52, both of Guernsey Wyoming, were killed Saturday morning in a rollover accident on I-25 near Douglas.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports at the time of the crash roadways were icy and snow packed and the area was experiencing snowfall.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on I-25 when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle went into a broadside slide going into the median where it then rolled 2 complete times rolling across both southbound lanes coming to rest on the southbound emergency lane.

During the rollover both occupants, who were not wearing seat belts, were totally ejected from the vehicle. Case came to rest in the southbound driving lane and Cannon came to rest down a steep embankment in the southbound barrow ditch.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident occurred 7 miles north of Douglas, Wyoming.

It has yet to be determined which of the two occupants was the driver at the time of the crash. The investigation remains under investigation however, speed too fast for the existing conditions is a contributing factor.
