Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - It's a non-stop work out at Cross Fit Frontier in Cheyenne. All day Saturday into Sunday morning, teams of four and more are doing non-stop burpees to raise money for a local 4th grader.
Burpees are a type of cardio and strength workout move where you start standing up, jump down and out into a plank, and jump back up. And for 24 hours, at least one person will be doing a burpee at the Cross Fit gym.
Emily is a 4th grader at Henderson Elementary School in Cheyenne. The goal is to raise 10,000 dollars to offset the costs of her leukemia treatments and trips to the Denver Children's Hospital.
The event ends early Sunday morning, but you can still donate by visiting the fundraising page "Help Emily in her fight against Leukemia!"
