Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - WYDOT has re-opened US 85 between Cheyenne & Meriden this afternoon after it was closed because of localized flooding approximately 14 miles north of Cheyenne. Watch for signs indicating "Water On Road" and watch for the reduced speed ahead warning signs. Some county roads are also being washed out. The flooding is a result of spring run-off from this winters snowfall and the warming weather conditions. Portions of Wyoming are under a "Flood Watch" and this will probably not be the last we see of localized flooding conditions across the State this spring.
