Laramie, WY (AP) - An investigation of Albany County Attorney Richard Bohling centered on his use of public funds.
The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation conducted the investigation of Bohling in March and April at the request of Albany County Sheriff Dave O'Malley.
According to an affidavit prepared by the DCI, the investigation stemmed from allegations that Bohling had used about $20,000 in county funds to purchase items for personal use.
It says the purchases occurred between August 2011 and November 2013 and involved mostly electronic devices and camera equipment.
No charges have been filed.
Bohling was first elected as county attorney in 2002, and recently announced he would not seek re-election this year.
Bohling could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday.
