Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Attention Wyoming artists! How would you like your work to be forever immortalized on a coin?

To commemorate Wyoming's 125th anniversary of statehood, the Arts Council is looking for highly detailed images that celebrate the Cowboy State.

"We'd like the artist to take the inspiration that they draw from Wyoming and it's history and it's landscapes and come up with a proposed design for the coin," said Milward Simpson, Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources Director. Simpson says a silver coin will be offered for sale with proceeds benefiting the Arts Council.

The deadline to submit entries is August 1. To apply, go to CaFE at
