Bamboo Boat Building

By  |

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) Saturday brought out the tiny engineers of Cheyenne to the Paul Smith's Children's Village.

Build a Bamboo Boat was a popular Saturday activity for kids and parents in the area. It was another event sponsored by Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power. Kids made bamboo boats to float in the park's pond.

Parents help kids construct the boats made of bamboo and cork and construction paper sails.

Some kids managed to float their boats, while others went back to the drawing board to rework their vessels.

Angelene Kelley brought her son Gilbert after the Back to School Bash. She said she had a great time and loves that there are so many events in Cheyenne for kids and adults.
