Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Cable network C-SPAN is known for being an all-politics all the time station. But it's other two stations, C-SPAN 2 and C-SPAN 3 both have shows that will feature Cheyenne in September. The Cities Tour series picks out small to mid size towns across the country to spotlight, and for the next week, C-SPAN local content crews will be in the area.

C-SPAN producer Ashley Hill said they'll be focusing on the history and culture of Cheyenne, as well as featuring three local authors. Crews will visit the Historic Governors Mansion, the Capitol Building, and spend one on one time with Mayor Rick Kaysen. Mayor Kaysen said he feels 'blessed" for this opportunity and hopes everyone can learn something new about the city. "It will show our history and our current modern city, so I'm excited," said Kaysen.

Hill said this was her first trip to Wyoming, the crew just spent a few days in Casper for the same project and that she's in awe of the beautiful state. "You know you're driving and there are just these vast expanses of just land and no civilization and we don't have that out east."

The Cheyenne weekend will air on September 6th and 7th on C-SPAN 2 and C-SPAN 3.
