CPD Officer Receives Award

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Cheyenne Police officer Manny Fardella has been named the 2014 Wyoming School Resource Officer of the Year.

Fardella, who has spent the past three years at Johnson Junior High, was selected because of his commitment to the staff and students.

"It's nice to receive the award, but it's not about me and what I've done at the school," said Fardella. "The support of my administration here at the police department any my supervisors and colleagues is what makes this possible."

Nominees for the award are selected from all across the state. The winner is then selected by a committee comprised of Wyoming School Resource Officers Association members.
