The Cheyenne Frontier Days added a rodeo event today called the CINCH Shootout. The event will be held the opening Friday afternoon of the event. The CINCH Rodeo Shootout is an invitational format that is positioned as Rodeo's Tournament of Champions. Champions in five events (Bareback Riding, Barrel Racing, Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding and Steer Wrestling) from the eight most prestigious North America rodeos.

Over $70,000 is on the line to be won in a single afternoon in this tournament-style performance that will feature two rounds of rodeo competition. The first round will start with eight Champions from each of the five rodeo events competing to make it to the Championship Round. After the first elimination, four competitors in each event will then compete to win the CINCH Rodeo Shootout jackpot at $10,000 per event.

Fans in attendance will vote with a text message system to choose which livestock, or in what order their favorite cowboys will ride in the Championship Round. This is the only rodeo where attending fans help decide the outcome of the Championship Round.
