Cheyenne Home to be Raffled Off to Benefit COMEA

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - This is 3115 Lusk Place, located in the Buffalo Ridge neighborhood of Cheyenne.
"We put in new hardwood floors, new appliances; it's got a newer roof on it. New hot water tank, new heater, it's got a huge backyard, RV parking," said Karl Holden, the owner of the home.
The 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home also has a fully finished basement.
The 2,700 square foot home sits on a 13,000 square foot property and is valued at $235,000. It's being raffled off and will become someone's new home for less than one-one thousandth of that cost.
"Someone's going to have the opportunity to own a home for $200."
Karl Holden is the owner of this home. He along with his realtor, Coldwell Banker, came up with an idea to also include a local non-profit organization to benefit from the home sale.
They came up with the idea to sell raffle tickets for $200 and if your ticket is drawn you could win this home.
Only 1,500 tickets are available for purchase and every ticket over 1,075 that is sold, that money will go to Cheyenne's COMEA Shelter.
If all 1,500 tickets are sold it would mean a much needed $85,000 donation to COMEA.
"We're still trying to rebuild after the bedbug thing last fall. A lot of debt came from that. So we've got a lot of rebuilding to do to get our reserves up to where they were," said Robin Zimmer, Executive Director of Cheyenne COMEA Shelter.
The drawing for the home will take place at the Archer Complex on June 21 during the Journey Home Benefit Concert being put on by the COMEA Shelter.

Tickets may only be purchased by calling COMEA at 307-632-3174 and speaking to Robin or Chrissy or by calling Real Estate Agent Denise Osborn at 307-256-7283.
