Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - The Leisure Services Division is holding two great Easter Egg Hunts on April 19th, 2014!
First, at 10am, the 36th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place in Holliday Park, this is open to all children ages 2-6. Children will be divided into five age groups for the hunt; 2 (parents may assist), 3, 4, 5 & 6 (must hunt on their own). Plastic eggs containing candy will be scattered in each age group’s area. Participants should bring their own Easter Egg Baskets to carry their goodies. There is no fee for the event. In the event of bad weather during the outdoor hunt, an “Easter Egg Giveaway” will be held at the Pioneer Park Center (1331 Talbot Ct.) at 10am.
Second, the 3rd Annual Underwater Easter Egg Hunt, for children ages 2-10, will take place at the Municipal Pool from 5-7pm. For this event, plastic eggs will be floated and sank throughout our indoor pool, allowing participants to collect as many eggs as they choose! The collected eggs will be turned in for an Easter Goodie Bag.
Tickets go on sale April 1st, at the Neighborhood Facility (610 W 7th St.) and the Municipal Pool (931 Martin Esquibel Dr.). Tickets are limited, so be sure to get yours early. Start times for the hunt are as follows; 2-3y/o at 5pm, 4-5y/o at 5:30pm, 6-7y/o at 6pm, and 8-10y/o at 6:30pm.
