Cheyenne, WY (AP) - The Cheyenne Regional Medical Center says it is working on billing problems that have patients worried.
Hospital officials have decided not to send any patient bills to collection agencies for now because of issues with their new billing system.
According to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, hospital officials say most of the problems occurred after a switch to a new system. The new system was set up when the hospital converted from paper medical records to a new electronic system last April.
The hospital issues about 20,000 billing statements a month.
