City Council to Vote on Solid Waste Fee Hike Monday

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - Cheyenne City Council is set to vote Monday night on a resolution that would raise trash fees.
If the new rate is approved, solid waste fees would be raised by 3.4 percent.
How much more money does that mean will leave your pocket?
For residential customers, it would mean an additional 75 cents per month on average.
On the commercial side, it would be an added $2.60 a month on average.
Council members in favor of a rate hike believe if the 3.4 percent increase isn't approved this year, they may need to approve a much more significant increase next year.
