Council to Consider Increasing Reserve Funds

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - The Cheyenne City Council will consider a resolution to boost the city's reserve fund when it meets next Monday.

Currently, the city has about $6 million in reserves, which is enough to keep the city running for 43 days. The resolution would require the city to maintain at least 60 days worth of reserves.

"It gives us a lot more flexibility if we need emergency capital or if we have a budget year that doesn't have enough revenue," said Councilman Sean Allen.
