Ed Murray edges Buchanan for Secretary of State

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - The Secretary of State race was one of the closest of the evening, but candidate Ed Murray has beaten Ed Buchanan by a very slim margin.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Murray came in with 37% of the vote and Buchanan had 35%. The two were only separated by 1,619 votes.

Pete Illoway finished in third with 19% and Clark Stith finished last with 10% of the vote.

There was no Democratic candidate in the primaries, but there is a constitution candidate in Jennifer Young. Young and Murray will face off in the November general election.
