Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - A new exhibit celebrating the Cowboy State's outdoor lifestyle is now on display at the Wyoming State Museum.

"Art of the Hunt: Wyoming Traditions" features more than 70 hunting and fishing objects by over 50 Wyoming artists.

The exhibit features everything from hand-crafted bamboo fishing rods and hand-tied flies to engraved firearms and knives.

"We're glad to bring these artists to the general public to let people know that there's a lot of this work going on that is assisting in the economy and also in preserving this way of life," said Anne Hatch, Folklorist for the Wyoming Arts Council."

An opening reception will be held on August 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit is on display through June of next year.
