Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - It was a packed house today at the clinic at F.E. Warren AFB. Former military and their spouses came for Retiree Appreciation Day, a day where former military were honored, and benefit services were explained to them.
There were several speakers, which included Colonel Ritschard, who gave a briefing on healthcare at the base clinic and how it could be accessed. Captain Holmes spoke about pharmacy benefits and Mr. Kerry Glaser gave a talk on survivor benefits. There was also a number of booths set up detailing services available to retirees which included legal aid, recreational activities, physical therapy and fitness.
Lt. Thrasher, who helped organize today's event said it best when he said, "Again, the Cheyenne area, we have a lot of retired military in the area. We want to make sure they know the base is here to support them and again, we want to be there for them because of what they've done for us."
