Family of seven involved in I-80 rollover, two children killed

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - A family of seven, four children and three adults, were involved in a rollover on I-80 west of Cheyenne. Two of the children were killed.

In a report released Tuesday by the Wyoming Highway Patrol,
5 year-old Nathan Baker and 18 year-old Melissa Baker died when the family's ford expedition and u-hall trailer veered off the road, over-corrected, struck the center median and rolled over.

Melissa Baker was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. Nathan Baker was in a car seat and was partially ejected. the rest of the family Tiffany L. Bake 27, Fernando A. O'connor 34, Ryan Dees 24, Emmlyn M. Baker 4 , Sophia Baker 1, were taken to Cheyenne Medical Center, treated and released. The family are from Richmond California.

The driver, Tiffany Baker, was cited for careless driving and unsafe tires.
