Final Flapjacks Flipped at Pancake Breakfast

Cheyenne, WY (KGWN) - The coffee was brewed, the ham cooked and the last flapjacks flipped, as the final pancake breakfast was held at the depot plaza Friday morning.

The Cheyenne Kiwanis Club served up almost 100,000 free pancakes over the course of three days, which laid end to end would stretch all the way from the griddle they were cooked on to Frontier Park and back again.

"We always get around 30,000 people plus. We might be a little short of that, but still it's been fabulous," said Chairman Dan Kirby. "The weather has been cooperative, so we're pretty happy."

Back in 1996, a record was set when more than 39,000 guests were served pancakes in just six hours.
